NEYSO Summer Nights 6V6 Soccer Rules:

Standard FIFA Soccer Laws apply unless otherwise noted below:
1. Team roster max is 15 players per team.
2. Player must be 14 years old to register for Adult 6v6 league.
3. Player cards must be presented at check-in before every game or player
will not be allowed to play.
4. No slide tackles
5. No off-sides
6. $30 fine for all red cards. The player’s membership card will be collected
by league officials and not returned until fine is paid.
7. Teams must have minimum of 4 players to play.
8. Play is 6v6 including the goalie.
9. Shin guards are mandatory.
10. No casts, padded or otherwise. Orthopedic braces must have all metal parts padded with
manufacturer approved padding.
11. All restarts are indirect.
12. No throw-ins. Kick-ins will be taken from the side line.
13. Substitutions are unlimited and may be made at any stoppage in the game with referee
approval.
14. Any red cards or ejections received by fans, players or coaches as a result of striking
”fighting” will be reviewed by the NEYSO Executive Board for possible further suspension
not limited to the remainder of the season. Refund will not be given to suspended players
and the $30 fine must still be paid before allowing to return to the field (including the next
season).
15. League standings will be based on a 3 point scoring system. 3 pts=win, 1 pt=tie, 0 for loss.
Forfeits will be scored as a 1-0 win for the opposing team.
16. Games will consist of two 25 minute halves with a 5 minute halftime.

Additional Co-ed Rules:

Scoring:
A. A woman’s goal counts as 2 points. A man’s goal counts as 1
point. The same applies to penalty kicks.
B. Only 3 goals by the same male player are allowed. All goals after three will be
awarded to the defending team as a goal kick. A female may score unlimited goals.

A minimum of 2 female field players must be on the field at all times (This rule excludes the
goalie). The goalie may be either female or male.

Drop balls will be taken by two women

TOP 2 TEAMS FOR EACH BRACKET WILL PLAY IN A PLAYOFF GAME TO DECIDE LEAGUE CHAMPIONS.
