Games will be played at NEYSO owned and maintained Specht Road complex. The benefit to your team is that it allows us the ability to play in inclement weather. Where as other tournaments that plays at city or county facilities will cancel or restrict play. It is our goal to play games and get your team ready for state games.

 TOURNAMENT RULES

 

 


1.  Players and coaches must have a player card at all games and present them to the referee.

2. Maximum of six guest players per team allowed. Guess players must also have USYSA player cards.

3. Travel permits are mandatory for all teams not registered with South Texas Youth Soccer Association. In most cases your state association will send the travel permit directly to us.

4. Roster size:  U9(12), U10(12), U11and above(18).

5. Field players:  U9(8), U10(8), U11and above(11).

6. Game times: U9(25 minute halves), U10(25 minute halves), U11and above(30 minute halves).

7. Semi-finals and finals are regulation times for particular age groups.

8. Teams will be placed within brackets by considering previous experience and/or ages with winners advancing. Some groups will only have finals, some groups might have semifinals and final, and some groups might have only a round robin. The tournament committee reserves the right to change a teams bracket, group, game times, or scheduled field as well as shorten the length of the game in case of unforeseen problems.

9. In most cases, pure age brackets will be formed and in most cases teams will be placed in the division that they choose; however, the tournament committee reserves the right to change a teams division and in most of these cases the team will be advised of the change by phone.

10.     Schedules will be sent November 17 to the person in charge of distributing information that you have designated in the entry form. Included with the schedule will be your team’s code number, the map of the fields, and the directions on how to get to the fields. The names of the teams that you will play will not be included and you will find that out at the coaches meeting. Final scheduling and field posting may be viewed at http://www.neyso.org

11.     Medical forms for each player must be brought to the coaches meeting.

12.     Mandatory coaches meeting on Thursday, November 24 at the host hotel (the Hilton San Antonio Airport).

13.     Tournament Committee can disqualify players, coaches and fans from Soccer Complex if they are a disruptive element.

14.     Red carded player or coach must sit-out at least one game.

15.     In most cases, teams should expect at least one early game on Friday when making hotel reservations.

16.     Sending the entry form with the fee or faxing the entry form does not guarantee acceptance into the tournament. Only upon receiving an acceptance notice will your team be invited. Check website to view received team applications.

17.      Once a team is sent an acceptance notice and the schedule there will be no refund of the fees.

18.      If there is a partial or total cancellation of the tournament then the teams may receive some kind of refund.

19.     Tournament security will direct vehicles to parking area. Please abide by the security rules. If parking area is wet your vehicle might be directed to a parking area that might have a fee to park.

21.     No casts of any kind allowed in the games.

22.     No pets of any kind allowed..

23.      No protests of any kind allowed.

24.  No glass containers or alcoholic beverages allowed.
